Artist's Comments

This is a watershot and wildlife all rolled into one... this heron landed in the water about 100 feet in front of us and stayed for about 15 minutes until we crept just a little too close.
Taken with a Nikon F80, with Velvia 100, and Cokin P173 blue yellow filter.

Sorry I've been MIA for a long while... I haven't been taking many pictures at all, but I have a feeling that in 6 weeks that will all change. I'll be getting a digital camera to capture our new baby! So, expect a plethora of baby shots to follow. *grin*

There are two essential basic strategies for success in photography:

1. Never reveal all you know.

If only ambleside wasnt' saturated with boats all the time :P That said, this is an amazing shot, especially wth the filter's effect, I think. Very nice!
